Enter Zephyr.
This morning Zephyr arrived at her forever home.
We flew out yesterday and picked her up ourselves, bringing her home via two flights and three airports. She took a little to get used to her travel kennel, but it quickly became her security. As long as I stayed moving she was fine but when we had to stop it didn’t take long and she was itching to get out of the kennel and sniff noses with another nearby dog, or romp with the kids. Aside from a few puppy sized anxiety attacks she was very brave and her bright, smiling, face proved to be a big hit among the other travelers. She absolutely loves making new friends, of human and animal alike.
She is definitely a little lonesome which is to be expected but she is adapting quickly. She is currently exploring the yard and terrorizing the cat, who is a little unsure about sharing the yard with this animated white ball of puff.
It’s hard to believe that after all the dreaming, researching, planning, and traveling, that we finally have our own Samoyed. Our own Zephyr
